We were delighted to team up with The Conservation Volunteers last week to run two outdoor learning sessions in Colinton Dell.
At the sessions, pupils from Purple Class and Clyde Class worked together collecting wood to build a fire to toast marshmallows and make popcorn. Other activities included crafting boats to sail down the river, creating clay faces using natural objects to place on trees and going on a bug hunt. The pupils had a brilliant time, and the cold weather did not dampen their enthusiasm!
All pupils, families and friends of Braidburn are warmly invited to join us for our Family Ceilidh on Friday 2nd March from 7-9pm.
This is always a fantastic event with Columcile Ceilidh Band once again leading the dancing and providing the music. There will also be a buffet so that we can all refuel halfway through! With thanks to our Parent Council, this event will also be free of charge.
I look forward to seeing you all there!
On Tuesday 20th June we invited M&M Productions into Braidburn to perform The Hobbit to the whole school. This was a very exciting morning full of dragons and adventures! It was lovely to welcome 16 senior students from Woodlands School to join us as they had been studying The Hobbit in class.
On Wednesday 7th June we were delighted to accompany Nikola to the prize giving for the Paolozzi Art Competition. Nikola was awarded 2nd Prize in her category and given £100! Well done, Nikola!
The weather stayed dry for our Secondary Sports Day on Wednesday! Lots of fun was had by all as you can see from some of our photographs. Thank you to friends and families who came along to support us on the day.
